End of Year!

Term 4 Review...

Plenty of exciting things have been happening this very busy term! We have had lots of excitement these past weeks with taking part in Humphrey's Dancing and starting swimming lessons, as a part of our Physical Education programs. Room 14 have been rehearsing their special dance and are getting very excited to show this off at the End of Year Presentation Night!

A huge thank you to all of the parents who were able to attend our 'Dance Party' last Thursday afternoon. The students loved having parents experience what they have learned so far through their dance classes. It was absolutely fantastic to see parents coming up and having a dance with the children! I'm sure you'll enjoy the video and photographs of the dancing session below...

What we have been learning this term...

Room 14 planned, designed and created their very own desk tidy as a part of their Technology and Enterprise learning this term. We were very impressed with the effort put into bringing in recycled boxes and materials! Thank you to parents for assisting the children with this. Ms Peake and I were extremely proud of how well these desk tidy's were designed and created, that we decided that Room 14 could use them at school. They have been very handy and are a true demonstration of how hard each child worked to create them. Well done, everyone!

As a part of our persuasive writing, Room 14 had to try and convince Santa that they would be the best new Elf helper in Santa's workshop. Everyone thought of different ideas and reasons to try and convince Santa, as well as a range of high-modality persuasive words! We included similes, different punctuation and openers to make our writing even better.

Once we completed our writing, two students were selected, who produced excellent writing, to be my classroom helpers. These excellent writers included: a range of persuasive vocabulary, different connectives, openers that would draw in a reader and different punctuation to make sense of their writing.
Congratulations to Tejas and Joanna who have been my 'Elf Helpers' this week! Well done on your hard work and efforts to further improve your writing!

End of Year Two!

Room 14 students are super excited that school holidays are fast approaching! We are so proud of all of our students and what they have achieved this year. It has been a very busy year and they have each worked extremely hard to put in 120% into all class and school activities. Although we are super happy for everyone to celebrate their hard work over the holidays, we are also very sad that the year is coming to an end and our lovely Year Two class will be heading into Year Three next year! It has been an absolute pleasure teaching each and every one of our students in 2016.
Finally, a big thank you to all of our Room 14 parents for their hard work and commitment to their child's learning. We are lucky to have amazing and helpful parents in our class and truly appreciate all of your efforts in taking part in your child's learning each day.

Room 14, we wish you the best of luck next year in Year Three! Remember to ALWAYS try your very best and put in 120% effort throughout all of your learning.

Enjoy your well-deserved holidays!
